Michael Chahinian brings two decades of relevant experience and education across the public and private sectors.
Michael worked within the U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), a venture capital unit seeding the best new commercial enterprises in robotics and software with the backing of the DoD, where he was recognized by AFCEA International as a 40 Under 40 Award Winner. As an investment banker at Citigroup, he provided M&A and capital raising advisory on Wall Street's leading Industrials team, focusing on Aerospace and Defense. He also served as an active-duty Navy ship officer and led the campaign that won the Navy's highest award for public affairs. He began his career on Capitol Hill as a legislative assistant on appropriations and budget issues in both the House and Senate.
Michael holds Master's degrees in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and in Business Administration from NYU Stern School of Business, and graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Government and a concentration in East Asian Studies.
