Behzad Taufiq

Behzad Taufiq is the Managing Principal and Chief Investment Officer of Valentus Capital Management, an investment firm focused on global credit assets, and Global Head of Credit and Fixed Income at XBTO, a firm focused on digital assets.

Prior to Valentus, Behzad spent nearly a decade as Head of Credit Trading and Managing Director at Hudson Advisors, the asset manager for Lone Star Funds, where he was responsible for underwriting, trading, and modeling roughly $100 billion of US Residential Mortgage Bonds, US Residential Whole Loans, and US Corporate Loans. Before that, he worked on the Mortgage Trading team at Cerberus Capital Management, as well as at Certavi Capital Management.

Behzad is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where he focused on science and comparative literature, and was an athlete on both the Track and Field and Football teams.

He lives in New York with his wife and three children.
